HANDMADES
BACKGROUND
With my love for both interior design and art, making different types of decor has been a fun way to bind these heartstrings together. My crafty qualities were all inherited from my momma, she was always making homemade gifts for people and decor for her ever-stylish home. And then my artistic side came from my father who was an amazing drawer and painter back when he still did art. When it comes to crafting, I'm always trying to push the boundaries a bit and come up with new concepts. Different styles of plant hangers is something I hope to continue. Clearly, I have an affinity for drawing the human anatomy and biophilia. So I find it exciting when a client orders something different that's outside my typical realm of subjects.

polymer clay mushies
This past year I recently got into making mushrooms out of polymer clay. The plaque mushrooms were colored with soft pastels while the picture holders were painted.

polymer clay EARRINGs
Polymer clay mushrooms eventually led to me making polymer clay earrings. A whole nother world I can't wait to explore more of!

A good friend was having a baby girl and she had told me they were doing a woodland theme for her bedroom. This project was the first time I ever tried wood burning. I drew up custom stencils and made the animals out of felt.

PILLOWS
I grew up on Spongebob, but I absolutely despise the newer episodes. Stitch and Toothless are the cutest. And Gremlins is my favorite Christmas movie.

BABY
PILLOWS
Two different styles of baby pillows I have made. The zoo critter pillow included crafting together felt animals and embroidering lettering. The whale pillow was my first double sided pillow. The other side is the inverse of the patterns shown here.

WILDERNESS CRITTERS
Flannel fabrics are to die for so... this cozy collection of forest critters was a good excuse to play with them!

FRANK
Frank, the dinosaur, is the most rewarding gift I have ever made. I consider him a Frankenstein since I had to piece him together with 1/2 of the pieces crocheted to match the hat and 1/2 of the pieces flannel. My best friend's adorable son loves to carry Frank around and is obsessed with his big ol' button eyes. In the process of making Frank, I was very close to throwing him away because he was harder to make than I thought, but i'm so happy I didn't give up knowing how much her son loves him.
